Fremont man arrested after search finds materials to make illegal fireworks in home
FREMONT, Neb. (WOWT) - A Fremont man was arrested Tuesday after a search of his home found explosives and other materials to make illegal fireworks.
In a release sent Tuesday, the Fremont Police Department said the Nebraska State Patrol and the III Corps Task Force conducted a search at a home near 17th Street and North Keene Avenue in Fremont.
The search yielded various materials used in the making of explosives and other materials used for making illegal fireworks.
The resident of the home, identified by FPD as 44-year-old Jared Eichorst, was arrested on the following charges:
In the release, FPD says making homemade fireworks is not only illegal, but unsafe.
FPD advises residents to inform the police if they observe people making homemade fireworks.
